October 4–5th
Battle Hours: 1 PM – 4 PM
Whino is proud to participate in the inaugural Capital One Celebration of the Arts, a dynamic festival that brings innovation and creativity together in powerful new ways. As part of this immersive weekend, Whino presents The Art Battle—a thrilling, live painting competition where selected artists from diverse disciplines face off in a test of skill, speed, and imagination.
From contemporary fine artists to bold illustrators and mixed-media creators, this unique tournament-style showdown showcases a wide range of artistic voices. The Art Battle is a fast-paced, creative clash of styles and disciplines—a public-facing canvas of imagination and innovation. Every round is an opportunity to watch raw ideas transform into powerful visual statements—right before your eyes.
Over the course of three hours, the competition unfolds across three elimination rounds. To challenge their adaptability and creativity, artists must incorporate three surprise words—one from each judge—into their artwork in real time. These prompts become the thematic core of each piece, demanding both quick thinking and bold execution.
